Toyota Motors - What a perfect confirmation looks like

The larger pattern on the weekly or monthly chart may look excellent. As an investor, there is little urgency. You can afford to wait months and maybe years, because defining a tight stop loss may not be a priority.

For a trader, however, timing and risk definition are everything.

A relatively small, clearly defined stop loss can completely change the risk/reward equation of a trade.

Does a five-wave impulsive rally guarantee that the trade will succeed?

Absolutely not.

Nothing in financial markets is guaranteed. But a clear impulsive structure can provide something far more useful to a trader: a defined setup, a logical entry zone and a clearly identifiable invalidation level.

Toyota Motors provides an almost textbook example.
